Congratulations to BSHS Cheer Squad who made finals at the State Competition for the second year in a row! As last year was the first time in school history our squad made finals, this year represents another first…making finals two years in a row. Great job by Coach Spencer and all the girls! Cheer season is a long one, and making finals and coming home with some hardware is a great validation of all their hard work.

Over the break, Junior Maggie Heath completed a Work Based Learning experience with the local small business M-D Painting & More LLC! She joined the team in remediating wood rot and painting the outside of the house located where Bushes Farms once was. Great job, Maggie!

Before heading off for break, our students showed the true spirit of giving! 🧡 McDanield Preschoolers delivered over 240 food items to Vaughn-Trent Community Services, and students across the district came together to prepare Thanksgiving meal kits for Feed His Lambs. We’re so proud of their generosity. THANK YOU to our staff and families for supporting the various food drives during the holiday season, helping us make a big impact in our community!

📣 Join Our Team at USD 204! 🌟 We have immediate openings for a computer technician, plumber, and more. Find a full list and apply online HERE: https://bit.ly/3KqxUKO

We are excited to bring back the Mayor's Youth Council! These BRAVE students met with Mayor Tom Stephens today to commence their first meeting of the year.

The BSHS Leadership class had a great time volunteering at the Imagine Furever Ranch!

Congratulations to our talented Bonner Springs High School band students for being selected to the Northeast Kansas Music Educators Association Honor Band! 🎶 Alonso Franco and Alex Profeta on flute (Gold Band), Katie Cota on clarinet (Blue Band), Daniel Beck on trumpet (Blue Band), Rachel Beck and Rebecca Sedgwick on horn (Blue Band), and Sarah Beck on trombone (Gold Band). They will be hard at work over the next three weeks preparing for their performance on December 7th. We are so proud of your dedication and can’t wait to see you shine!

🎖️ Today, Bonner Springs High School proudly honored our veterans with a special breakfast and assembly, hosted by the BSHS Diversity Ambassadors. We were honored to have Lt. Colonel Tysen Pina as our guest speaker, celebrating those who have served in the military and recognizing the educators making a difference in our schools. During the event, we were proud to recognize staff members who are veterans from across our district, along with parents and community members who served, joining us for this meaningful celebration. Special thanks to the Leavenworth High School Cavalry Angels and Pioneer Guard for their spectacular performance that added to the day's memorable celebrations! 🇺🇸 This was truly a special day for our students and staff.

Seniors-
Don't forget to wear your Senior t-shirt to the Senior Announcement Meeting on Thursday, Nov. 7th, during Seminar in the Auditorium. We will take our Class of 2025 group pic at the end of the meeting.
See you there!
Mrs. Terrell

It's that time again for our annual stuffing drive! Bring boxes of stuffing to Seminar class by Nov. 21st! Each school in the district partners with Feed His Lambs to provide Thanksgiving meals for families in need in our community. Join us in our service learning project - the Seminar with the most boxes of stuffing wins a donut party!

Happy Halloween, BRAVES! After a day of learning and treats, we hope you have a fun evening. Remember to stay safe, stick with a group, and watch for traffic. No school tomorrow -- we will see you on Monday! 🧡🖤

As Veterans Day approaches, we want to honor and thank those who have served our country. On November 7th, the Bonner Springs High School Diversity Ambassadors will be hosting a special Veterans Day Breakfast for all family members who are veterans. We invite them to join us for a continental breakfast in the cafeteria from 8:15 to 8:40 am.
